FrontAnalytics is a Web-based product that enables General Partners and Limited Partners such as Pension Funds, Endowments, Funds of Funds, Family Offices and Sovereign Wealth Funds to:

Dynamic Dashboards

Pre-built dashboards are tailored for analyzing investments in alternative assets such as private equity, real estate and funds. eFront provides dashboards for both General Partners and Limited Partners to analyze various aspects of their businesses. Unlike systems with static tables or platforms which require custom work each time a variable is changed, FrontAnalytics users can alter dashboard contents in real time, slicing-and-dicing data across dimensions such as sector, currency, manager, investor, fund and vintage.

Charts such as IRR and TVPI history, J-curves and liquidity calendars are available in formats including tables, pies, lines, histograms, scatter, bubble and radar graphs.  Use benchmarks to compare any number of performance indicators.

Share saved dashboards with other users and easily print or export content to Excel or PDF.  Custom dashboards can also be used.

Cash Flow Forecasting

Forecast fund and portfolio performance, exposure and cash flows using models based on historical transactions.  Run “What If” scenarios to evaluate the impact of new investments on an existing portfolio.  

Change carry, future drawdowns and fees to visualize the impact on NAV. Sophisticated stresses depicting different economic conditions can be designed and applied to cash flow forecasts to determine the impact on a fund or portfolio.

Excel templates can be used directly within FrontAnalytics to build custom simulation models.

Risk Management

Perform “top-down” analyses to model portfolio construction strategies.  Use a wide range of parameters to understand the impact of those inputs on a synthetic portfolio.  Benchmark each investment proposal versus a defined risk profile. 

Use qualitative and quantitative scoring techniques to grade funds. Future cash flows are estimated based on fund grades, yielding quantitative, chartable measurements such as NPV, NPV at risk, TVPI, Net IRR and Duration.

Platform

The FrontAnalytics architecture was designed from the ground up for performance and can run on both small and ultra-large datasets.  The architecture includes an optimized data warehouse, import tools, automation capabilities, and pre-built, specialized components called “cubes” to analyze portfolio and fund data.

All aspects of the product are highly configurable – from using only out-of-the-box configurations, to creating custom components and calculation models.
