Harvesting Alpha from PE Investments in a Highly Valued Marketplace

With record levels of dry powder and continuous rise in deal multiples, the ability of private markets to continue with generating exceptionally strong performance is facing a number of challenges. In our recent publication, we identified some of the core competency areas within the private markets investment cycle of the limited partner institutions that leave the most room for improvement in performance of this segment of their portfolios, as well as those in which LPs exhibit exceptionally high proficiency levels.

In this panel, we discussed the right approach to allocating assets to private equity investments, evaluated secondaries as a means to fast deployment of funds to meet the portfolio targets, identified the best negotiation practices, explained the co-investments as a practice that enables the more targeted exposure and addressed many other directions towards higher PE market alpha.

David Arcauz, Flexstone Partners, Managing Partner
Cyril Demaria, Wellershoff & Partners, Head of Private Markets
