eFront, the leading financial software and solutions provider for managing alternative investments, today announces the appointment of Elie Vannier to its board of directors as a non-executive director. Mr Vannier’s career has covered journalism, merchant and corporate banking, private equity, as well as extensive board-level experience in industrial and information technology companies.

In addition to eFront, Mr Vannier is chairman of Hovione, a Hong Kong-based fine chemicals group, a board member at GlobalCollect, a Dutch world-leader in online payments, chairman of the Strategic Committee at Ingenico, world leader in payment solutions, and a partner at Paris-based private equity family office, Groupe Chevrillon. Mr Vannier is also a visiting professor at Peking University, China.
Mr Vannier began his career as a broadcast journalist and editor. In addition, he has served as Director of Diversification for the Strafor Facom metallurgy group; CEO at the French subsidiary of Morgan Grenfell; General Manager of GrandVision and senior adviser to global asset management firm Oaktree Capital. He is a graduate of Paris I-Sorbonne University.
